watching spiders watching me
spiders seems to form a vortex around a mound in the forest
the trees were columns and the spiders wrapped curtains around the perimeter … I had my spider stick. but it was a perfect curtain, all paths leading to the middle where the mushrooms I wanted to pick were sealed off and guarded by a beautifully symmetrical spider right in the middle of each panel. i felt no urge to destroy it. it is wonderful and should be there as long as possible, why should I be the one to tear it down, i didn’t need to, we already had plenty of mushrooms, and my stomach was full.
