artist statement;

darnedest

i dream to be absolved of grammar

comforted in questions unanswered

drawing and painting, touching and moving,

pressured, quiet evolution

record and examine, archive and recite

personal ethnographies, inner historical-fictions, imagined transformations; of worlds

asking to be more, less english, meaningfully present

on behalf of my community; united anomolies

seen by care and love

reminding whispers

a relief; to breathe at all

over everything at once, sometimes, our dreams

of other timelines

a space to stare at something for a very long time

of genuine sight

to be felt and not viewed

dreams of doing things, slowly, together

and somewhere, off center,

speak without words
