I’m a visual thinker. This prop is a continuous flow of thoughts that are connected to each other. The light and the body were developed separately. I saw the body, a human body in pieces of thick chipboard I found. I created the legs as I move forward and curl into myself. I saw light as the point I was trying to make, at first I thought I needed to capture it, so I created a mechanism to do that. I intuitively put the two forms together, a body that focuses on light.

I’ve recently come across an oral history of The Great Dream. From my understanding, our form, before becoming a physical entity, is light… In a weightless frequency, are the dreams of countless possibilities of the physical dreams of what could be. This physical reality could not be experienced or felt in the dream, only imagined, this reality is the physical manifestation of the dream. This is what I wanted. I see what I’ve done. This prop is a message to myself, a reminder about why I’m here. To focus on light, to see who I am.
