twelfth night
I’ve started a few paintings.
ones that feel more inspiring to me right now…
view from a cliff of seven sisters of the landscape
ones alluding
faded neutral strokes and glazes of colour
faded dark colours light to dark dark to light,
still lifes
speaker - dark
speaker - light
one I haven’t started yet
the twelfth night - better a witty fool than a foolish wit (ref of a photo from the tradition we did this year :) )
. . . . . . . . . . . . .
frequencies
grounding
grounds
trying to find the connection and point of it all - initial words that dropped above. I think the point is what grounds me. painting is a source that smooths out complex feelings and experiences… smooths out as in clarifies, though it’s a clarity that lives in an alien space, foreign frequencies
things that I admire and in awe of - music and nature
feelings I can’t express in words are the alluding pictures, colours, “abstractions”… though I don’t agree with that word entirely, I think everything does have a meaning but sometimes we don’t understand that and might not ever experience that meaning but none the less there is still a meaning that exists there… so, though I can’t fully express why I chose or felt inclined to chose the certain colours there is a reason for it.
for the neutral repetitive colours… i know I can say I chose colours thinking of nature, thinking of trees, thinking of a forest, and then I chose a couple of colours and used them, and it was like a meditation in a way, repeatedly painting while thinking of the colours thinking of light shining through the trees thinking of all the kinds of colours that would be there, colours you can only see if you look at something for a really long time.
