first run of a manifesto

Dear Alien,

yesterday I saw all of the people I care about and admire as artists and people come together to create our own space our own bridge into our respective worlds. These people I am thinking of are spread out across this beautiful earth and they are my muses and inspiration. I want to celebrate them and their minds, their lovely personalities and share their art and I find this is a way to connect everyone to our world as a way to view their own world in a new perspective… I believe this kind of action is more effective to do that than what capitalistic galleries and institutions are trying to do at this time… which is not their fault it’s just when your institutions survival depends on a sales number then the essence of what art is no longer art, it’s a perverted into an increase-sales-numbers tool, and almost every unspeakable evil that we have known in human history is associated to money or resource deficiency - just as our body eats itself from malnutrition so does our communities - I see fear as I see my allergies, for some reason my body reacts violently to the presence of lilac pollen, my body does not know that lilac pollen does not hurt me at all but for some reason it thinks it does, and I am fully aware of this… and it makes me think that’s how communities are… like a Christian community condemning a queer community. The Christian community does not understand that the queer community does not pose a threat to their survival or way of life, it is particular cells within the Christian body, cells being preachers and perpetuators, that regurgitate a fear that the queer community will destroy their Christian body and so we get the worst seasonal allergies when these two communities come together… We do have allergy medicine which helps a little bit but what’s even better is that we have brains, all humans have a brain, and with that brain we can think about these things, and with that brain we can make a different choice, so I would hope if people would realize that a community who lives a different life and schedule does not want to burn down your lifestyle and schedule we could actually focus on things that matter…

Your Honour, the relevance of this is to illustrate that I believe in a world with more peace, because we have brains and I believe people can do better.

I saw a man

lying face down

on a concrete

sidewalk in

Brixton, by the

station entrance,

well, nearer the

station entrance.

It’s a pretty big

sidewalk one

of the busiest

in the city and

this man was

lying straight,

face down, hands

to his side and

no one checked

on him. I

would have if

I wasn’t with

a 2 to 1

service user

and his safety

was priority.

What a

performance

to remember

them.
