this is a fictional piece of a character in the near future and how they will feel before the complete collapse/regeneration of earth. the character is kind but blunt so people are generally scared of this kind of person. in this moment she is angry and speaks thickly to themselves, their chest bursting from spite, but dormant pain now actively coursing through an outwardly still and calm body…
the character: they are sitting at a table in a new coffee shop near their home on their laptop, they think to themself.
Things I don’t like
greasy laminated mdf boards
a parent teaching a baby how to “tap” a debit/credit card on a card reader
giving everyone the benefit of the doubt, but I will still feel how I feel

it’s also how our plastic cards and machines are made. so when I think of those two things, I think of death
we drink water out of death
oil is like sugar, naturally it has a place, plants are the only ones to produce it naturally, it is available to us because plants continue to grow on this planet, we need it for our brains to function.
oil naturally has a place, it is the decay of organic materials, it feeds organisms that are adapted to process oil, these organisms break down the oil into a simpler/ overall less harmful substance. And my guess is that if it was left there would be time for these organisms to do their job. instead humans have extracted the oil are exposed it to the environment. we are losing ecosystems, our layers of protection from the sun, our bodies have an unknowable amount of microplastics in our body, animals are choking on plastic/oil and getting caught in nets that ring their neck and drown them, whales bellies are splitting open from plastic, and I see a small child, an innocent child play adult human with a plastic card, this piece of death which we all are forced to use. use or die, it is what we must in order to avoid prison, to act correct and follow the script in this prison to avoid being exiled from society. the parent is saying without words dear baby please conform to this hell and live in ignorance to survive, you must survive —- and this I can completely understand, she wants what a parent naturally wants, for their baby to survive and i get that. but this is the cost beeeeep
and will we even notice that the plants are missing? will we notice the government replacing all the trees with fake ones and all the grass with astroturf, will we notice when they block access to your favourite trail to hike? oh no! it’s been turned into a golf course!! they keep the grass very green from the mountains river… and you’ll never be able to see that sunset at the peak again. and the beaches that you grew up on will be bought with a company credit card as a tax write off… and I remember a man who was dying, he wanted to see the sunset on the beach for one last time. I saw him walk out onto the pier. I know that same pier is money locked now, if you don’t have enough money you will not be able to get down to that spot… I imagine a lot of people who are dying will never get that comfort and die looking at a locked gate with a code we don’t know the numbers for, and they wonder what drives people hold others at gun point. I can totally see someone pulling a gun to shoot the lock off of that thing, what is the price for that? what is the price for my life?
because of the state we live in I do question what the price for my life is… I sure know the government has a clear answer on that. the US gov. has one price, the UK gov. has another price, and every other state in the world has a price too for what my head is (generally grouped/circumstance and time will have a major factors on the cost). that price goes into equations designed for them specifically. and these equations are a matter of if we choose to use those plastic cards to pay for things. if we all decided to not pay for anything for a day what would happen?
I’m sure someone with plenty of money will say to me that I don’t work hard enough, even if I worked 50-60 hard hours a week, they would find another reason as to why I am wrong to feel the way I feel, even if I am highly skilled in many things, if I don’t have enough money it is because of something, and it is really hard to remain being kind and patient when I know I will never be able to buy a house by myself unless I give up my entire life to chase money, to chase a plastic card that was produced by maybe Texaco, Standard Oil of California (Chevron), Mobil, and/or Conoco… if I refuse any of them then I might as well be a criminal, even though they have killed an unknowable amount well beyond millions… millions of animals…… millions of animals.. imagine being in the presence of a million dead animals… think of the haunting images of dead animals that you’ve ever seen in your life and multiple that by however many to get millions… imagine raising your child to play with a toy that’s very components is a product from the millions and millions of animals they killed because companies could not contain the oil they extracted. the oil that didn’t end up in the water and land is what made your toy, thank god! but your toy when your done with it in about 1 to 3 years if that will be in the inside of a whale. But a reasonable person would say to this, “well the sun has killed people but it doesn’t mean we avoid/hate the sun”. No, but you wouldn’t advise your children to spend hours out their because you know it could cause skin cancer or heat stroke/looking at it could damage your eyes. we know the damage oil cause and that humans are really bad at containing them but we do not stop trying to contain it at the rate that we do and we don’t not stop the production of plastic at the rate we do. it is absolutely mind blowing and terrifying, to have people who I do not know control the fate of my life

this quote is out of context. in this context i see future humans saying this to us, those who were complicit in the murder of the world. our very human nature, we would do this to humans why not do it to earth as well.
